Even your little ones can get in on the NFL action!
140 kids took part in NFL Flag football with Cape Parks and Rec last year. Coordinator Chris Eastridge says they are now taking registrations for the 2010 season at the Arena Building. Boys and girls are welcome from 5 to 12 years old. They will be divided into groups and go through a draft. Eastridge tells KZIM KSIM this is a NO CONTACT sport with NFL Replica jerseys and flag belts. Coaches pick the team name with the COWBOYS the most popular choice. There are a few RAMS and a few Steelers but there is an opportunity to choose any team in the league. Games are played Saturday afternoons starting an 8 week season the end of September. There are 5 kids on the field at a atime and 7 or 8 on a team. Coaches are also needed. Registration ends August 27th. Call 334-2523.
