A Jackson man arrested for allegedly kidnapping his children in Ozark has a new hearing

A Jackson man who faces charges after police say he kidnapped his children from a domestic violence facility in Ozark had his case moved up to the Circuit level. 39-year-old Scott Pikey is charged with violating an order of protection and two counts of felony kidnapping. According to court documents, Pikey located his ex-wife on the 11th staying entered the shelter and took his kids while his ex-wife was in the shower. She gave authorities his license plate number and he was arrested a short time later on U-S Highway-65 in Ozark. Pikey appeared before a judge Wednesday for a preliminary hearing. Judge John Waters found there is enough evidence to move the case to the Circuit level. A new hearing is slated for August 13th in Christian County.
